Muntaser Dawwas: INVESTBANK remains an avid supporter of the arts, which is the mirror of society and the basis of its renaissance

INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative banking solutions, announced its platinum sponsorship of Alaa Abu Diab's stand-up comedy shows entitled "Lockdown." The bank’s sponsorship of the two shows, which will be held on February 11 and 12 at the Cultural Palace, is in line with its continuous support of local and regional talents.

This is the second time that INVESTBANK has sponsored Abu Diab’s  performances in Jordan, a move that stems from bank's conviction in the importance of his message and its ability to convey the many political, social and economic issues facing the Arab world with humor and wit. Abu Diab an established member of the regional stand-up comedy scene, with an extensive fan base in the Middle East, North America and Europe, which he gained thanks to his sense of humor, his social media presence and satirical political and social comedy inspired by his family and his life in Europe.

Speaking about the event, INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas said, "We are very happy to once again sponsor Palestinian artist Alaa Abu Diab’s shows. Through his wit and humor, Abu Diab puts a smile on our faces by addressing the political, economic and social issues of the Arab reality. He also spoke about art’s ability to contribute to a revitalization of country by providing a platform for individuals to express themselves in a tasteful and creative manner.

Speaking about his show, Abu Diab said that INVESTBANK’s support for the arts and artists plays a vital role in the community, adding that it has allowed artists to express real political, economic and social positions and speak about issues that people grapple with each day. According to Abu Diab, "When I come to live in Jordan, I will open an account with INVESTBANK. It is not every day that you meet a bank that makes people laugh! Usually, the bank is a nuisance!”
