INVESTBANK Achieves 28 percent Profit Increase in 2013

February 15, 2014: INVESTBANK achieved a pre-tax profit increase of 28 percent in 2013 with its financial results indicating an increase in profit which will reach JOD 17.4 Million in 2013 compared with JOD 13.6 Million in 2012. The net profit after income tax has improved to JOD 12.7 Million in 2013 compared to JOD 11.3 Million in 2012.

The Bank’s total revenue reached JOD 35.4 Million in 2013, reflecting the positive results INVESTBANK achieved by improving operating procedures and increasing the size of facilities granted by 7 percent, which amounted to JOD 432 Million in 2013. Improvements in performance were also reflected in the Bank’s total assets, which increased by 10 percent and were valued at JOD 780 Million at the end of 2013, compared with JOD 709 Million end of 2012. However, these results are still subject to the Central Bank of Jordan’s approval.

Commenting on results achieved, Chairman of INVESTBANK, Bashir Jardaneh, said that, during this last year, the Bank witnessed significant achievements in terms of financial performance, as well as the realization of the Bank’s medium and long term strategy objectives. This cemented the Bank’s distinguished status in customer service. The Bank also continued to develop and launch unique and innovative products and services in the local and regional market, and strengthened its activities through a group of subsidiary companies in the fields of brokerage (through the Al MAWARED for Brokerage Company), financial leasing (through TAMKEEN), and supply chain financing (through IMDAD).

In addition to what the Bank achieved in terms of positive financial results, throughout 2013, the Bank continued its expansion strategy, boosting its presence in key and vital business locations in Amman. Today, the Bank has eleven branches in vital commercial locations where offices, businesses, and basic services are concentrated. The Bank also supports an extensive network of ATMs in the most important commercial locations of Amman.
