Why securing passwords is so important?
Your password is the gate to your account, and criminals are looking to steal your password and access your accounts to commit fraud. It's important to use highly secure passwords for all your accounts.
How to protect your password?
Here are 7 tips to help you secure your password:
- Select a strong password
Make your password at least 10 characters long. The most secure passwords combine letters, numbers and special characters.
- Make your password harder to guess
Avoid using known passwords such as "P@ssw0rd" or "123456". Also, avoid using personal information in your password, such as your birthday, child's name, phone number, and address.
- Change your password periodically
Change your passwords at least once every 6 months. If you notice any suspicious activities on your account, the first thing to do is changing your account's password.
- Sharing is not caring
