Sunday, June 25, 2023

INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative solutions, announced its Silver Sponsorship for the second edition of the Jordan Young Scientist (JoYS) project that took place in Jordan for the duration of two days from the 23rd to the 24th of June of this year.

The initiative hosted by the Embassy of Ireland, Ministry of Education, Crown Prince Foundation, and the Queen Rania Foundation aims to promote innovation and empower the youth to develop solutions to social, technological, and economic obstacles using different scientific methods other than what is learned in classrooms.

Jordan Young Scientists is a new, national initiative based on a 50-year-old model originating from Ireland. It is intended to improve motivation and reward the youth who have a desire to study science and implement it to improve society.

The initiative unfolded through three distinct phases. The initial phase encompassed training sessions dedicated to empowering students and teachers in developing their scientific, engineering, mathematical, and technological proficiencies. Subsequently, a national fair was organized, offering a platform for students to exhibit their projects and innovations, fostering fresh prospects for collaboration in research endeavors with government bodies, educational institutions, businesses, and civil society. The concluding phase entailed a training camp tailored for participants, with a primary focus on entrepreneurship, communication skills, creativity, and the transformation of ideas into tangible products and services.

INVESTBANK’s CEO, Muntaser Dawwas stated that the bank’s sponsorship for the Jordan Young Scientists initiative for two consecutive years is in line with the bank’s efforts to support and promote creativity and innovation within school students by encouraging them to find unique solutions to social, economic, and technological challenges. It is indicative of Jordan’s pride in enhancing the youth’s talents and innovative minds.

Dawwas stressed the importance of innovation and creativity as key drivers in driving economic growth and achieving sustainable and continuous development in diversifying Jordan’s source of income.

Mohammad Tahboub, Chairman of JoYS added that this sponsorship from INVESTBANK reflects their continuous commitment to supporting students and their futuristic vision in developing innovation and creativity among the youth. He indicated that this support provides a huge opportunity for the participating students in this initiative to develop their scientific, technical, and innovative skills, and pursue their full potential in providing innovative solutions to social and economic challenges.

Tahboub indicated that this initiative played a major role in enhancing scientific and technical awareness among students and developing their research skills while also encouraging them to discover new fields within technology and science. He added that this exhibition provides students with the opportunity to present their innovative projects that will enhance their capabilities and expand their professional horizons.

In conclusion, JoYS Chairman expressed his gratitude for the support of INVESTBANK in supporting the youth on their journey of excelling in innovation. He also expressed his excitement for a bright future of collaboration and success in building a generation full of inspiring and innovative young individuals that will contribute to society’s development, progress, and prosperity.
