Dawwas: We are trying to create richer CSR initiatives by partnering with institutions that have geographic presence in underprivileged areas

INVESTBANK, the leading bank in providing innovative banking solutions, continued to bring substantial change to the concept of CSR in 2016 by supporting developmental and humanitarian initiatives that would help it reach and serve rural, underdeveloped areas.

To achieve this goal, INVESTBANK has made financial donations to the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development’s (JOHUD) Goodwill Campaign to help finance its activities and programs. One such program is the comprehensive medical campaign that provides residents of rural areas with free medical testing and prescriptions, as well as medical equipment and devices to support people with disabilities.

The Goodwill Campaign, which the fund launched in 1991, is considered one of the most worthy causes supported by INVESTBANK. The funding also reflects the bank’s appreciation of JOHUD’s efforts to create sustainable development, empower isolated communities, and eradicate poverty.

Additionally, under the campaign, the fund distributes essential food items and clothing, medical care, university scholarships, schooling necessities and financial assistance to around 15,000 beneficiaries living in governorates like Jarash, Ajloun, Madaba, Tafileh and Aqaba, each year.

INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas said: “Supporting this campaign stems from our strong belief in the important role we can play to help develop local communities. This is the backbone of sustainable economic development and it is one of the values that the bank strives to instill in our people.”

For 40 years, the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development has been focusing on improving the overall wellbeing of Jordan's people. It is the largest and oldest non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting rights-based sustainable human development in Jordan.
