INVESTBANK Celebrates Jordanian Painter Muhanna Durra With Reveal of ‘Durra Wall’ at Headquarters

In honor of renowned Jordanian artist Muhanna Durra, a pioneer in Jordan’s modern art movement, INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative financial solutions in Jordan, has revealed the ‘Durra Wall’, a tribute to the artist and his work, during a special ceremony at the bank’s headquarters on Sunday 15 December in the presence of Muhanna Durra, INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas and members of upper management.

The acclaimed artist, who was the first Jordanian to receive a formal art education graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1958, and the first to introduce Cubism and abstract art into the Jordanian visual arts scene, had been commissioned by INVESTBANK to create a painting for the bank, inspired by its brand and values.

During a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Muhanna Durra and INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas jointly revealed the ‘Durra Wall’ where the commissioned painting, that is inspired by the INVESTBANK, and other paintings by Durra hang proudly inviting visitors to reflect on the beauty and mastery of Durra’s work and the importance of art in driving innovation and change.

INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas expressed the bank’s pride in achieving this unique partnership with one of the most widely acclaimed Jordanian artists, saying:“We have always looked at Muhanna Durra with admiration and respect. Durra understands our brand and what it signifies, and his commissioned piece now hangs proudly on the walls of our headquarters for visitors to see.”
