INVESTBANK Sponsors the Tenth Edition of ‘Baladak’ Festival
As part of its dedication to fostering local creativity and support arts and culture, INVESTBANK, the leading bank in providing innovative solutions, has announced its official sponsorship of the 'Baladak' street art festival. This year marks a decade since the festival's inception, coinciding with the opening of Al Balad Theatre.
The theatre, inaugurated on Saturday, August 24, under the patronage of Her Excellency Ms. Haifa Al Najjar, Minister of Culture, will host a month-long celebration featuring murals and modern art that showcase the various editions of 'Baladak' over the past ten years.
INVESTBANK’s CEO, Muntaser Dawwas, expressed his pride in sponsoring the festival, stating, “We are honored to support the 'Baladak' festival as it celebrates its decade of success. This milestone is a significant achievement for the arts community in Jordan and beyond. Our sponsorship aligns with our broader strategy to promote arts and culture in Jordan. We believe that art is essential for fostering dialogue and expression, and 'Baladak' provides a unique platform for artists to connect and share their stories."
Dawwas added, “We hope our support will continue to empower local and international artists with a platform to strengthen their presence and influence. INVESTBANK is committed to initiatives that support a more creative society. We aspire to encourage younger generations to explore their artistic interests and play a vital role in shaping Jordan's artistic landscape."
The 'Baladak' festival is a significant event for global artists in Jordan, offering a unique opportunity for renowned artists to connect, collaborate, and share their artistic experiences. Over the past decade, more than forty iconic murals have been created, transforming Amman into an open-air gallery and solidifying Jordan's status as a hub for arts and culture.
The tenth anniversary celebration of 'Baladak' was initially planned for 2023 but was postponed in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Gaza. The celebration has now been integrated with the opening of Al Balad Theatre, merging the festival's past successes with a forward-looking vision for the future of arts and culture in Jordan.
