INVESTBANK and the RSCN celebrate launching the first eco-friendly children’s play area at Ajloun Nature Reserve

INVESTBANK, the leading bank in providing pioneering financial solutions in Jordan, with its partner the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), celebrated launching the first eco-friendly and educational children’s play area in Ajloun Nature Reserve, following the agreement signed between the two parties in December 2018.

The children’s play area situated next to the restaurant of the Ajloun Nature Reserve and features fun, environmental and educational games and recreational equipmentincluding a hill climb, swing nets, a tree house, and other stations. The games, which have been selected based on stringent criteria, take into account diverse ages and physical abilities, and were created based on the indigenous life present at the Ajloun Nature Reserve. It will be available to all of theyoung visitors and local community, allowing them to simultaneously learn and play in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.

Mr. Ghassan, Asfour Vice President, valued the cooperation and the continuous support of INVESTBANK and its belief in nature conservation mission in Jordan. This playground area is considered as a complementary to the environmental awareness and education programs implemented by the RSCN in Jordan. The playground area is an innovative project and it is implemented for the first time in Jordanian natural reserves. Environmental concepts in relation to nature have been integrated into the games that were designed and installed in the area. Children come to play and entertain while they acquire some information that helps them understand their natural environment. Khalid mentioned that the designs of the games and materials were manufactured to meet the needs and the intended purpose of the area, and to be consistent with the natural forest ecosystem.

INVESTBANK continuously collaborates with the RSCN on sustainable projects, with a focus on Ajloun area. The eight-year old organic farming project with Ajloun’s Community Based Organizations Al Kifah Association and Um al Yanabee Women Association, promote the development of sustainable farming systems and the training of farmers on the most progressive growing, packaging and marketing techniques, and help them market their produce through Al Shams Farmers’ Market in INVESTBANK’s Abdoun branch on Saturdays.
