{"id":240908,"date":"2017-10-02T08:54:00","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T08:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/investbank.jo\/?p=240908"},"modified":"2025-02-02T08:54:49","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T08:54:49","slug":"empowering-families-in-jordan-connecting-parents-experts-once-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investbank.jo\/empowering-families-in-jordan-connecting-parents-experts-once-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Empowering Families in Jordan: Connecting Parents &amp; Experts Once Again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Parents and educators connected on Saturday with Jordan\u2019s top experts to discuss saving habits, schooling and parenting at \u201cAsk Our Experts II\u201d, a follow-up to a workshop series launched earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a partnership with INVESTBANK, Al Marji\u2019 Publications (publishers of Jordan\u2019s only parenting magazines, Family Flavours and Nakahat \u2018Ailiyeh) and The Children\u2019s Museum Jordan, 14 of Jordan\u2019s experts led interactive sessions with parents on financial inclusion as well as the daily challenges faced by parents and children at school. The Museum offered accompanying children the opportunity to learn through play in its safe educational spaces whilst their parents attended the sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBoth parenting and progressive education play a crucial role in the development of future generations, particularly when it comes to addressing many of the challenges our children typically face throughout their development,\u201d said Muntaser Dawwas, INVESTBANK\u2019s Chief Executive Officer. He added that \u201cINVESTBANK is committed to creating initiatives that allow parents to understand the most effective methods for enhancing child financial literacy in the hope of fostering generations capable of innovation, self-empowerment and positive change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was attended by senior officials in the fields of leadership, parenting, education and human rights. Participants included Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Ali, Senator Yasera Ghosheh, Senator Haifa Najjar and Former Minster Reem Abu Hassan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Managing Director and Publisher of Al Marji\u2019 Publications, Hind-Lara Mango stated that \u201cAsk Our Experts is such an important workshop series as it offers parents and educators reliable and credible expert advice and the opportunity to network.\u201d Mango added that \u201cwe are so happy to partner once again with INVESTBANK and The Children\u2019s Museum Jordan \u2013 it has been a pleasure working as a team toward a social cause we can all rally behind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to host this event which enriches our role in supporting parents and children\u2019s educational experiences and development,\u201d said Sawsan Dalaq, Director of The Children\u2019s Museum Jordan. She added that this event \u201cis also a chance to reinforce the importance of parents\u2019 role in raising and educating their children, reflecting positively on their future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The range of topics covered saving habits, such as the importance of goal driven versus general savings, presented by INVESTBANK\u2019s Christeen Haddadin; emotional health and the impact of family life on a child\u2019s academic achievement was highlighted by Family Counsellor Khalil Zeud; mental health, promoting good study skills and making homework less stressful was handled by Learning Difficulties Specialist Rania Sayegh. Physical health and handling food allergies at school was discussed by Genetics and Biotechnology Expert Zeina Sahyoun.
