Wednesday, September 26, 2018

Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Nour Al-Hussein and with support from INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative banking solutions, the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative unveiled its new brand identity and marketing channels at a celebration held at the cooperative's headquarters on September 16, 2018.

During the launch, Her Majesty Queen Nour Al-Hussein, accompanied by INVESTBANK CEO Muntaser Dawwas and members of the bank’s board of directors, were treated to a tour of the premises, including stops at the textile and paper workshops, the hostel, the knowledge center, the ceramic workshop, the kitchen and the soup workshop.

Dawwas spoke of his admiration for the outstanding and remarkable efforts by the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative to upgrade the living standards of the women residing in the area, helping them reach financial independence, saying: "Today, the cooperative is one of the most effective associations in the Kingdom, and a role model organization. It has become an incubator for the creative ideas of women in the area, providing them with work opportunities and a dignified life."

This year, INVESTBANK, through its corporate social responsibility program The Sun Fund, signed an agreement supporting the cooperative's future work with a focus on the objectives of economic empowerment of the local community and the preservation of the cultural and environmental heritage in Jordan. Dawwas, speaking about the agreement, said that it was designed to help the cooperative address current gaps in its brand and to design another visual identity that effectively supports marketing its products, which are enjoying increasing demand both in Jordan and by regional and global tourists.

Dawwas stressed the impact that the cooperative has had on the Iraq Al-Amir area, preserving a large part of its architectural structure and institutional identity, which is rich in heritage and history. The bank is also working with the Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative to strengthen its ties to the local community and market its products effectively in order to have a permanent and positive impact and hopefully inspire similar initiatives throughout the Kingdom.

Also at the launch, Iraq Al-Amir Women's Cooperative Director Yusra Al-Husami spoke of her appreciation for INVESTBANK’s support to renew and modernize the cooperative's institutional identity and its help in marketing its products effectively and creatively. She also went on to thank Investbank for efforts to empower the women of Al-Amir economically, which has, in turn, raised their standards of living. She added the cooperative was established by H.M Queen Nour in 1993 with the aim of environmental conservation, architecture heritage and empowering the women in local community.
