INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative banking solutions, recently organized a tree-planting trip for its employees and their families to the Dibeen Forest Reserve. The trip, organized as part of the Bank’s “Time to Change” internal corporate social responsibility program, saw the planting of 100 trees in the reserve in an effort to raise awareness on deforestation and the various environmental challenges facing future generations.

“With the Time to Change program, we are endeavoring to make a measurable difference in the lives of Jordanians by leading through action as opposed to words,” commented INVESTBANK CEO, Muntaser Dawwas. “A core focus of our social responsibility strategy is environmental preservation, which we believe is an issue that directly impacts all segments of the community. This campaign stems from our commitment to raise awareness on the environmental challenges facing Jordan, particularly those resulting from deforestation.”

Dawwas further noted that this initiative brought together colleagues and families in a collaborative and cause-driven endeavor, which is a constructive approach toward ingraining positive actions within a community. This, he noted, is also a key element in INVESTBANK’s social responsibility approach, which consistently works to encourage volunteerism within the Bank’s corporate culture and engage social committee.

By bringing people together and transforming constructive work into a fun and dynamic family activity, the Bank creates positive associations with volunteerism and community service, and in return establish a more sustainable movement that will inevitably gather momentum.

This is the latest in a series of initiatives organized by INVESTBANK with the objective of promoting greener practices nationwide. For instance, the Bank recently signed an agreement with the Princess Alia Foundation and Jordanian environmental awareness company BE Environmental Services to facilitate the recycling of paper waste at its branches and in return provide paper to schools in Jordan. Noting Al Shams Farmers’ Market is their main Sun Fund program and supporting organic farming in Ajloun.
