Parenting Sessions at the Core of INVESTBANK, The Children’s Museum Jordan and Al Marji' Publications’ Partnership

Monday, February 20, 2017

INVESTBANK, the leading bank in providing innovative banking solutions, promotes the latest in financial education for parents to teach their children how to save and handle money.

Through a partnership with Al Marji’ Publications, publishers of Jordan’s only parenting magazines, Family Flavours and Nakahat ‘Ailiyeh, and the Children’s Museum Jordan, seven of Jordan’s experts led interactive sessions with parents relating to the latest in their field of expertise.

“We strive to continually provide innovative and unique banking products and services to suit the different lifestyles of our clients,” said Muntaser Dawwas, INVESTBANK’s Chief Executive Officer. He explained that “spearheading this event had a dual purpose for INVESTBANK. It is important for parents to know that the relationship and understanding of money starts at home and at a young age. “

INVESTBANK focused on informing parents about their tailor-made savings product and on ideal money interactions with their children. The bank understands the support families need on a daily basis and hopes that participants walked away with new insight on new methods and approaches to use at home.

Senator Yasera Ghosheh, herself a parent of four, spoke about her experience in parenting and leadership. Educationalist Senator Haifa Najjar stressed the importance of empowering parents, teachers and caregivers with information to help them in raising critical and well-rounded thinkers.

The Museum offered accompanying children the opportunity to learn through play in its safe educational spaces whilst their parents attended the sessions.

“We seek to support parents in bringing up their children and provide them with effective parenting tools that they can use and benefit from,” said Sawsan Dalaq, The Director of the Children’s Museum Jordan, which welcomes thousands of families at the Museum every year, offering them a family participatory learning experience. “We are happy to be hosting this event and we look forward to more partnerships that share a common goal of making an impact on the family and society as well,” she added.

“We are thrilled that this partnership connected over 100 mothers and fathers to experts in the field of education, child development, finance, special education, nutrition, literacy and sleep science,” noted Hind-Lara Mango, Publisher and Managing Director of Al Marji’ Publications, adding, “We all know that parenting isn’t easy so such parenting workshops are a great way to help mothers and fathers develop good parenting skills.”

Experts included Money Coach Christeen Haddadin, Sleep Consultant Luma Fawaz, Children’s Books’ Author Taghreed Najjar, Special Education Consultant Widad ‘Akrouk, Dietician Razan Shwayhat, Early Childhood Teacher Karma Khalidi and Child Development and Parenting Specialist Sirsa Qursah.
