Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Amman, June 2015 – Residents at the SOS Children's Village in Irbid were treated to a heart- rending surprise as a play area was unveiled by INVESTBANK, the leading bank in providing innovative banking solutions. The Bank’s initiative is geared towards supporting the instrumental role of SOS in accommodating underprivileged children and guaranteeing decent living conditions as well as empowering them to realize their true potential as talented and independent individuals. SOS also plays an integral role in offering education opportunities for children and helping them integrate socially as productive members of their communities. Kids at the SOS Children's Village enjoyed the recreational activities of the play area sponsored by INVESTBANK as a means for a better use of their time. “We are humbled and proud to be a supporter of SOS Jordan. Our commitment to empowering local communities, strengthening social bonds and helping those who are marginalized lead better lives. This is the core of our Corporate Social Responsibility mandate adapted towards all our initiatives all across the Kingdom,” said Muntaser Dawwas, INVESTBANK CEO. “We strive to help local communities enhance their livelihoods by supporting and enabling life- changing opportunities with real and sustainable impact. Offering our children recreational space is as important as food and shelter. It is the right of every orphaned and abandoned child to enjoy his and her childhood,” Dawwas stated. “We are proud and grateful to partner with INVESTBANK as an active private sector supporter of our mission,” says Lina Mola, National Director of SOS Jordan. “We look forward to sustaining this unique partnership in line with our efforts to empower our children and unleash their potential as independent and confident individuals,” Mola concluded. The SOS Children's Village Association of Jordan is a local, private, non-political, non- governmental, independent social development organization. Established in 1984, SOS cares for 345 Jordanian orphaned and abandoned children across its three Villages: Amman, Aqaba, Irbid as well as seven Youth Houses in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba.
