INVESTBANK sponsors the annual event organized bythe Jordan Forum for Business and Professional Women

Tuesday, May 1, 2018

INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative financial solutions, recently sponsored the annual celebration organized by the Jordan Forum for Business and Professional Women (JFBPW) — the leading Jordanian platform working towards empowering local business and professional women by highlighting and reinforcing their contribution to the local economy. The event was held mid-February at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman.

Established in 1976, JFBPW has enjoyed a rich track record of success in serving as the voice of business and professional women in Jordan, providing counseling, capacity building, and various other forms of support to aspiring and establishedbusinesswomen seeking to launch their own business ventures. The forum’s annual event has become a key platform for communicating the forum’s successes, challenges and future vision, in addition to hosting constructive discussions on the issues facing business and professional women in the Kingdom.

“This sponsorship stems from INVESTBANK’s firm belief in the importance of empowering women in the workforce and supporting the establishment of female-led business ventures for the benefit of the national economy as a whole,” commented INVESTBANK’s CEO, Muntaser Dawwas. “The journey toward achieving real and measurable gender equality in the workforce has been long and arduous on a global scale, and while progress is being made on numerous fronts there is still much that needs to be done in terms of supporting aspiring female entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas and passions into revenue-generating ventures.”

This year’s annual event featured an interactive discussion on Jordan’s march toward sustainable development, headed by former Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher and moderated by Alghad Newspaper Editor-in-Chief, Jumana Ghuneimat. The event also included a ceremony to honor members of Jordan’s community who have long supported the cause of gender equality in business, society and government. All proceeds from the event will go toward funding the various capacity building programs organized by JFBPW in its various branches across the Kingdom.
