INVESTBANK pledges its support for the Climb for Badwa Center fundraiser

INVESTBANK, the leader in providing innovative banking solutions, has pledged its support for the Climb for Badwa Center fundraiser – an initiative launched by a team of 14 Jordanian climbers to support the mission of the Badwa Center for Special Education.

The Climb for Badwa Center (C4BC) initiative is a self-funded endeavor that will see the 14 participants climbing Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain located in Tanzania, East Africa.Led by Jordanian Adventurer and climber, MostafaSalameh, the climb took place between the 7th and 17th of January 2018.

“At INVESTBANK, one of our core objectives is to develop and support initiatives that have a lasting positive impact on local communities,” commented INVESTBANK CEO, Muntaser Dawwas. “We were impressed with the inventive approach the Climb for Badwa Center team has taken, promoting adventurism and risk-taking while also supporting a worthy cause.”

Dawwas further noted thatwhat sets this initiative apart is that it encourages Jordanian participation in international athletic challenges, which in and of itself has a far-reaching impact on how young Jordanians view their own potential to make a measurable difference on both local and global scales. He explained that, through this sponsorship, INVESTBANK hopes to motivatethe development of youth-driven initiatives similar to C4BC, and to encourage other organizations to support the noble endeavor.

The Badwa Center for Special Education is a branch of the Mental Health Society for Special Education, which was established in 1970 as the first national society in Jordan specialized in training, educating and habilitating those of special needs. Located in Al Weibdeh, the center provides professional support to 60 disadvantaged children who suffer from mild to moderate mental disabilities, focusing on counseling and vocational training to help the students adapt to and integrate with society
